What is WoodLINKS?
• WoodLINKS recruits and certifies high school graduates for work in the wood industry. WoodLINKS certification is a nationally recognized standard for entry-level
employment in the wood industry.
• High school programs are underway in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario

What WoodLINKS Industry Partners Do
Industry partners work together with educators in local WoodLINKS schools to deliver the WoodLINKS wood products manufacturing program. Industry partnership activities are determined by local needs and include things like:
• Conducting mill/plant tours
• Mentoring teachers and/or students
• Hosting awards ceremonies
• Donating materials and supplies (trim ends, peeler cores, veneer strips, etc)
• Donating information materials (posters, videos, etc)
• Participating in career fairs
• Offering scholarships or other financial contributions
• Providing employment and other work experience opportunities
• Inviting teachers to industry association activities/meetings where appropriate
