Under development at the present time is a brand new 2-year diploma program
entitled Wood Process Technology. This program will be housed in the new
Applied Industrial Technology facility to be opened February/March of 1997.
Equipped with state of the art equipment, this facility will provide a modern
environment for Wood Process Technology instruction well into the 21st Century.
The fully laddered curriculum of this program will provide multiple entry
and exit points with opportunity for graduates to enter the third year of
the UBC Wood Science degree program. The WPT program is scheduled to begin
September of 1997.
