Newman Whitney was established in 1906, and is still operating in the original location. The company initially occupied an area of some 16,000 square feet, and had a dozen employees. Today the total area of the plant exceeds 150,000 square feet, and employs over 160 people. The company has continued to develop and grow throughout its life, and has worked hard at developing one of the finest reputations in the woodworking industry, for a product of the highest quality, and longevity. A view which is also shared by our Contract Sales customers.
Our facility is manned by highly skilled people, many of whom have been with us for a long time, some as long as 50 years. We provide them with some of the most up-to-date machinery and equipment available, including the latest in CNC equipment which is on the cutting edge of machining technology. This kind of technology, coupled with an extremely high skill level, is essential if this, or any other company today, is to continue to grow, in what is becoming an extremely competitive, and global, marketplace.
